My brother and I went out on the lawn
To watch the sun go down tonight
Seems like my neighbors had the same idea
We're waiting for something strange to happen

My brother asked me if I thought the sun looked strange
I said to him that I thought it did
My brother asked me if we would be okay
I lied to him and I said we would

You can feel it in the air
Something's not right
The wind is blowing, where's it going
Some safe place
The sun's almost down
Through the ground, to a safe place
But we stand our ground, determined and strong
We'll beat this fate

My mother called us in to eat some dinner
As the last bit of sun dropped out of the sky
It was time for some of mom's garlic pasta again
And those frozen microwave potatoes that we all love.
